Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Applied AI

AI-Native Marketing & Revenue Operations Leader
I build the systems that make operations and revenue repeatable, then I make them smarter. Currently exploring Director and VP roles in AI, marketing, and revenue operations.
About Me
I’m a revenue and operations leader for the AI era: twenty years across marketing, revenue operations, and applied AI, spent turning fragmented teams and processes into predictable growth engines.
The thread through my career is simple. I build the systems that make operations and revenue repeatable, then I make them smarter. That started with marketing automation and attribution long before it was fashionable, matured into Revenue Operations ownership and efficiency gains across the full customer lifecycle, and now sits squarely in AI transformation.
Adoption is the part most AI programs underestimate. A tool nobody uses returns nothing, so I build for the people who have to live with the result, and I measure what actually changed.
I’m currently exploring Director and VP roles in AI, marketing, and revenue operations. I also take on selective advisory and consulting work.

RDEL Group
2025 – Present
Director, Artificial Intelligence
I own AI strategy, adoption, and new-product development across the organization. The most consequential thing I’ve built there had nothing to do with chatbots: a client’s monthly reporting cycle took anywhere from fourteen to thirty days of manual work, which meant invoices went out late and cash sat uncollected. I rebuilt it as an automated pipeline running frontier models against BigQuery.
Reporting now takes one to three days. Manual effort dropped roughly 90%. Accelerating receivables freed an estimated $960K in annual cashflow.
That’s the pattern I care about. Not AI as a feature, but AI applied where the business actually bleeds time and money, then measured honestly afterward. I’ve since audited a business unit for operational drag, built the learning program that gets teams using this stuff, and designed a modular content platform that spins up client-specific agent teams.
Apertera
(formerly Alexa Translations)
2022 – 2025
Director, Revenue Operations
When I stepped into RevOps at Alexa Translations, the data was a mess, the systems didn’t talk, and sales teams were flying blind. I built the foundation that changed that: clean KPIs, a forecasting methodology the business could trust, customer health scoring, and AI-powered “digital twins” that let us simulate buyer behavior and coach teams in real time.
Forecasts got sharper. The pipeline got healthier. Decisions finally had context.
Before that, as Senior Marketing Manager, I rebuilt the marketing engine from the ground up. We more than doubled pipeline by fixing handoffs, rethinking automation, and designing campaigns that reflected what buyers actually needed. I standardized our tools, rolled out lifecycle programs, and brought operations up to a level where strategy could finally scale.

Norwood Sawmills
2019 – 2021
Digital Marketing Manager
At Norwood Sawmills, I took a legacy e-commerce operation and turned it into a high-growth engine, driving a 548% revenue increase and more than doubling transactions. We redesigned the website, including every aspect of the user experience and checkout flows, and scaled paid acquisition in ways that made every dollar work harder.
When the pandemic hit and supply chains buckled, I rebuilt lead gen to sync with inventory realities—keeping sales flowing without overpromising. I launched targeted campaigns across international markets, backed by CRM segmentation, automation, and dashboards that gave execs real-time visibility. The result was a modern marketing system built for resilience and scale.
“Josh has an incredible way of thinking outside the box and designing digital marketing strategies that are measurable, and that work.”

Xplore
(previously Xplornet Communications)
2017 – 2019
Digital Marketing Manager
When I joined Xplornet (now Xplore), most digital leads came from branded keywords—burning budget on people already looking for us. I overhauled our campaigns, striking a smarter balance between SEO and paid media to maximize reach and relevance.
The result: a 1,300%+ increase in digital lead volume. What was once an afterthought became the company’s top acquisition channel.
Behind the scenes, I rebuilt Salesforce Marketing Cloud to support automation and sharper orchestration. Campaigns became smarter, conversions climbed, and cost-per-lead dropped.
“He has the rare ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, articulate a clear vision, and execute with precision.”

Additional Roles (Summarized)
2006 – 2017
Before I led RevOps transformations or scaled pipelines at the national level, I was cutting my teeth where the seams between brand, systems, and scale were still being stitched together.
I helped reposition a global outsourcing firm for international markets with a full rebrand, while overhauling the tech stack underneath it to support real sales performance.
I worked on campaigns for some of the world’s most recognizable brands—Toyota, Samsung, The Macallan, EA Sports—learning what it takes to build messages that resonate and systems that deliver.
And I got my start in B2B technology marketing, launching platforms in industries where the value wasn’t always obvious and the sales cycles weren’t forgiving.
That stretch taught me how to lead through ambiguity, translate creative into commercial outcomes, and build engines that don’t fall apart at speed

Core Competencies
Professional Skills
You don’t just need systems that scale, you need systems your team can trust. That means clean data, clear reporting, and a pipeline that doesn’t leave sales teams chasing ghosts. Fix the data, instrument the funnel, then compound it with automation.
I’ve run that play at four companies. Norwood: 548% e-commerce revenue growth. Xplornet: digital went from afterthought to top acquisition channel. Alexa: a RevOps foundation that finally produced accurate reporting. RDEL: an AI reporting pipeline that freed an estimated $960K in annual cashflow.

Core Competencies
Technical Proficiencies
Every stack I’ve inherited has been a graveyard of half-configured platforms nobody trusts. I consolidate what’s there, integrate CRM and automation so the data actually moves, and build dashboards that drive decisions rather than just display them.
The same discipline applies to AI. I’m less interested in which model is fashionable this quarter than in what it does to a P&L, so the tools below are the ones I’ve shipped with, not the ones I’ve demoed.
